No change to the standard this week

The draft text of the Transformation Capability Management standard was reviewed for the week of 26 October to 1 November 2026. Nothing in it changed. Transformation capability management is the practice of treating an organisation's ability to change as something it holds, measures and governs.

The text, the principles and the domains are as they were on 18 October

No word of the text changed. The version line still reads "v1.0, 18 October 2026".

The standard changes only when it is necessary, and this week nothing made it necessary

The standard is reviewed every week and changed "only when it is necessary". A week with no change still gets a note.

Two announcements about AI and business change were read this week, and they change nothing here

On 28 October 2026 OpenAI and ServiceNow announced a ServiceNow integration for ChatGPT. The announcement describes an IT team member finding similar incidents, assessing the risk of a change and updating a ServiceNow record. The ServiceNow plugin is available now, and enhanced capabilities are expected by the end of 2026.

On 29 October 2026 Cognizant reported its third-quarter results. It said Project Leap, its restructuring programme, is expected to generate in-year savings of approximately $200 million in 2026. It said those savings are used primarily to fund investments, among them AI capabilities and partnerships.

Both are evidence of what firms say they are doing, and the evidence is weak. Each is a firm's own statement. The first is an announcement and reports no customer outcome. The second is Cognizant's forecast for its own programme, not a client's result. Neither calls for a change to the standard's text.

They touch no principle, domain or definition

The 10 principles and 6 domains stay as they were.

This note is dated 2 November 2026. It belongs to v1.0, 18 October 2026.

The standard's current custodian is BusinessGPS, the trading name of TechShifts Media Limited, which wrote the first draft. The aim is a committee with chairs drawn from outside BusinessGPS.
