Privacy notice
Version 1.4 · 18 October 2026
This notice says what happens to your details on this site, the site of the Transformation Capability Management standard. Most of it is about the form on the home page. It also says what the site's host receives when it sends you a page, and what your browser keeps on your own device.
Who holds your details
Your details are held by TechShifts Media Limited, the standard's custodian. It trades as BusinessGPS and is a company registered in England and Wales, company number 12622485. Registered office: 31 Spencer Close, Alsager, Stoke-On-Trent, England, ST7 2TA. It decides how your details are used. The law calls it the controller.
To ask anything about your details, write to help@techshifts.io.
What is stored
When you send the form, the custodian keeps:
- your email address
- your name, if you gave one
- whether you ticked the box to help develop the standard
- the area of the standard that interests you, if you chose one from the list
- whether you ticked the box for the weekly note
- the date and time you sent the form
- the version of the words you saw beside the form
Nothing else is kept with it. The form's record holds no internet address and no details of your browser.
You do not have to give any details. Without an email address the form cannot be sent. A name, the box to help develop the standard and an area are yours to give or leave.
What your details are used for
They are used for the standard only. That means a reply to you about helping to develop the standard and, if you tick the box, the weekly note. They are never used to sell anything, by the custodian or by anyone else, and never added to any other list.
The grounds in law
A reply about helping to develop the standard. You told the custodian you would like to help, and it has a fair reason to answer you and to plan how people can help. The law calls this ground legitimate interests. You may object to it at any time.
The weekly note. It is for you only if you ticked the box for the weekly note. The law calls this ground consent. You may take your consent back at any time, and it costs nothing.
Neither depends on the other.
How long your details are kept
Details about helping to develop the standard are kept for 12 months. Then your name, the box and the area you chose are deleted. If you did not tick the box for the weekly note, your email address is deleted then too. If you stop the weekly note, details about helping to develop the standard are kept for their own 12 months.
Your address for the weekly note is kept until you stop it. The date you ticked the box and the version of the words you saw are kept with it, as the record of your consent.
The weekly note
No weekly note is sent yet. If you tick the box, your address is held for it and goes nowhere else. Before the first note is sent, a new dated version of this notice will name the service that sends it. Every note has a link to stop it. You can also stop it by writing to help@techshifts.io. If you change your mind before the first note, write to the same address and your address is deleted.
Who else handles your details
This site is hosted by Netlify, Inc., a company in the United States. It keeps the store of what the form sends there. United Kingdom law allows this because Netlify, Inc. is certified under the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. It lists the firms that help it run its service on its own site. It keeps that store for the custodian and may use it for nothing else.
Like the host of any website, it receives your internet address and details of your browser when it sends you a page. It keeps a record of those requests to run and protect its service. Its published terms do not say for how long.
Only people who work on the standard for TechShifts Media Limited, the custodian, are allowed to read the store. The custodian keeps a list of who they are and gives it to you if you ask.
Your details go to no one else, unless the law requires it. They are not sold.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics.
If you use a theme switch that remembers your choice between light and dark, your browser keeps that choice on your own device. It is not sent to the custodian. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes it.
Your rights
You may ask the custodian:
- for a copy of your details
- to correct them
- to delete them
- to stop using them, or to use them less
- for your details in a form you can pass to another service
You may object to any use of your details. You may take back your consent to the weekly note at any time.
To have your details removed at any time, write to help@techshifts.io. The same address is for every request above. A request is free, and you get an answer within one month.
If something is wrong
Write to help@techshifts.io. The custodian tells you within 30 days that it has your complaint, and answers it without undue delay.
You may also complain at any time to the Information Commission's Office, known as the ICO, the regulator for personal data in the United Kingdom: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
Changes to this notice
Each version has a number and a date at its head. When the notice changes, the new version is dated, and earlier versions are kept and sent on request. The form stores which version of its own words you saw.
